This blog post will be entirely written in English. Sorry for my Dutch friends that struggle with the language. Writing a good story takes some time and should not be copied in to an other language it just takes out the magic. And that magic is what you need to explain India. So I chose to write it in English this time:)

The last time I updated you was some time ago, I took the train om the 27th of December to south India. I needed some warmth, sun and relaxing time. So I stayed in Kovalam, Kerela which gave me all of this. I moved on from there to Varkala, Ama's Ashram, Allepy, Munnar, kodaikanal, Ooty, Mudumalai national park, Mysore, Gokarna, Goa and my last stop Hampi!

Why is India so magical? I will try to explain.

India keeps on surpring you. From the first room in the guest house. Akward, dirty and porly lighted. From the childeren on the street saying hi to you! The nice people you meet! The intriguing wiggeling off their heads. Everything is possible in india!

My first guest house surprised me already, with mr. Lala. As you red in my previous story.

The train in India is an inspiring way of traveling true worlds off divergences, specially the train that I took. The Kerala Express. A three day train trip true three different types of climates and across 6 states. The food is surprisingly very good and you pay the hand written bill at the end of your trip. I guessed that the train is about 1,5 km long and carries some 1200 people and they all want food and Chai. Oh and there are no trash cans so you trow you plates out off the window or better. Just open an door and throw it out, while moving off course. A surprising journey every time.

Chai is India. Also known as milk tea with sugar. You will get it at any place you want and when you don't want chai! Like everything, no sugar is always possible but you will always get it with sugar! Like I sad everything is possible but always wait till you get it. Chai you will get at any big business deal. And it is the second word you will hear, entering a shop, after sitdown, Chai? Chai I had waiting on a bus stand at 3 am and on a rock watching the sun set in Hampi. Chai is trade mark number one off India.

After everything is possible you have the next thing after you made a purchase. Hacheling, long and tiring hacheling. You eventually do this after every sale, water(€20c) and your fish at the restaurant(€6). But this is India its a social thing to hacheling! So why not!

Or why like this? Because this is the phrase thats keep popping up in my head after so good times in Gokarna lying at the beach with a bunch off people in Rasta cafe at OM Beach. Why like this is always said when something crazies happens. Three people on a bike, the bus thats coming towards you on this crazy indian road or why a cow is joining your bonfire on a beach. Why like this, mister cow? Why like this? Its to make clear, when your talking to an india, asking why this happend. This is the beauty off india why doed this happen? It is surprising you every day!

It also surprising you in how cheap it is. 2 eu to stay somewhere, one euro to eat and for a full dinner with 5 people you pay only 12 euro's including beers. I do feel embarrassed when I know that what my budget a day is the same ammount as a lower cast months salary in India. Yeah their is a lot of poverty here. And no, dont give anything to the sweet looking beging childeren. They will only be more supported to beg and not to go to school! This is hard but yess india makes you think twice!

The biggest surprise I got from my friends at Rasta Cafe, OM beach, Gokarna. 25 candles at our bonfire, real cake, the cows that burnt their nose at the candles and lots of love for my 25th birthday! Thanks Julia, Sophie, Arianne, Ché, Oriel, Éve, Josh and Lama! It was amazing!

India surprised me at one point particulary. In Hampi, great surprising place, gods play ground they also call it.... I stayed at this place, bobbies place its called, and a 17 year old kid is running it. Selling you postcards, getting you petrols and also running this cafe and lodging. After a night my friend and I got back and she was out off sigarets and she asked can I buy here? No, but possibel, so an other kid of 14 goes to the shop and buys you sigarets. Why like this:)! And then you order a dessert and chai, possible? Yess, possible, it was 2330! The chai did came but the dessert never came. And then you finally go to your hut and this boy of 12 appears and says laundery! Yess it was my laundery that i gave him the day before. He washed it in the river he said when i asked the other day? He says 450 rupe., i gave him a 500 note and keep the change, he deserved it making me realize how beautiful India is! Possible sir, why not! Life is for free the rest you just have to hachel a bit!

Tonight, 26-2-2014, I leave for a new destination. I fly to the big apple of Thailand, Bangkok. I dont know what my plan is, because the travel guide is still in my bag. I will see where it brings me. My final goal next month is Myanmar or former Burma. I hope the future will surprise me as much as India did! Thanks to all the friends I med on the way and all the memories that will never leave me. India I will be back to explore you more!

Thanks and till we meet again!
